There are many ways to measure the success of a food drive event: how many pounds were collected, how many people participated, how much money was raised. However, any time our food drive partners take action in the fight against hunger, it’s a success. The Food Depository is thankful for the efforts of all our food drive partners. Your food drive is critically important. The Food Depository’s goal is to collect at least 1 million pounds or 2.5 million meals through our food drive partners, which means that the donations collected through your food drive is counted towards this goal. The impact of your food drive will extend long after your food drive is over. Thank you for partnering with us to achieve this goal so that more people in Cook County will have access to food until the day that no 1 goes hungry.


Badges

The Food Depository recognizes that there are multiple ways to assess the success of a food drive beyond pounds collected, including participation rates and number of items purchased. We want to celebrate with you when you reach certain milestones. The badges below highlight the achievements of your food drive when you reach your goals.

Total Participation Badge
The total participation badge will appear when your online food drive has achieved 100% of its participation goal. For example, if your food drive coordinator set a goal for 50 people to give, the total participation badge will be awarded when 50 people contribute regardless of the amount given.
Most Items Purchased Badge
This badge is awarded based on the quantity of items as well as the variety of items purchased for your food drive. Regardless of the amount of funds your online food drive collects, we want to reward the number of items purchased. The variety of items is important to the Food Depository because we are committed to providing nutritious food that contributes to a varied and wholesome diet for people who are food insecure.
